ROUND 3 ACTION
9/10/2008
The third day of competition was in the water at Lowers for the
Boost Mobile Pro. Clean 3-5 ft waves continued to roll through for
the seventh stop on the world championship tour of surfing. Bruce
had a bit of a shocker, with few waves on offer during his heat with
any high scoring potential and unfortunately did not advance in to the next round.

Bruce's run has ended but if the surf's good at the next event in France, it's on!

BRUCE IN ROUND 2 DEAN IN ROOUND 3

The second day of the Boost Mobile Pro got underway with round two
and three. Solid 3-5 ft waves broke throughout the day, with clean
walls and plenty of opportunity to shred. Bruce took that opportunity
and totally dominated his round 2 heat, unleashing several big turns on some bigger sets. Dean Morrison was less fortunate. Although Dean surfed very solid, he couldn't get the edge on Dane Reynolds, who posted one of the the highest heat scores of the contest.

BRUCE AND DEAN IN ROUND ONE
9/8/2008
Lots of waves, lots of girls, sunshine and an amazing playground for
the top 46 surfers is what the Boost Mobile Pro offered for the first
day of competition. 3-5ft sets cruised in from the Pacific Ocean and
across the rocky bottom of Trestles. Deano killed it, winning his heat and advancing straight to round three. Bruce struggled to get quality waves in what was a slow heat and will surf in round two some time tomorrow morning. The swell is meant to continue to pump over the next few days, so we should see some incredible surfing.
