Da Kine Diegos / Doubles
Satellite Beach, Florida
Well today marks the end of the tour. What a long strange trip it’s been. First off I wanted to thank our crew who helped make all of this possible. Raymond Dunzelman, Sean Slater, Patrick Ruddy, Nate Tyler, Billy Hume, Alex Gray, Chris Lyman, Granger Clark, Tony Lincoln, Jimmy McMiniman, Brooks, Todd Causey, Ricco and Jon. Thanks Fellas!!!

Our event today was supposed to be at Da Kine Diegos but Mother Nature had other plans. As soon as we arrived we were greeted to a handful of humans ready for a night filled with BS!. The only problem was a hughnormus storm sitting directly on top of us. The Rain and Lightning gave us no chance to have an outdoor event. With the help of Scott from Da Kine Diegos we were lucky to find a great indoor venue called Doubles. Regardless of the weather we still had a great turnout including Mr. CeeJ. After all of the twists and turns of the day all in all we had a great event and once again the kids were smiling from ear to ear!

Blake Jones made a grand entrance, The Tour is over, Bald Spot!, Crown Plaza… again, rain, the AC in the Van started to work!, I’m Kenny Powers!!!, You Tube in the Van, RJ ate 3 cheese burgers, I have a hat that says “I’m the boss, that’s why”, the Van has been destroyed, silly string fights, PRuddy shot a total of 11,000 photos over the life of the trip, Jimmy Wilson called and said he misses the tour, Next stop home!!

The Hawaii premier of Volcom's new surf movie BS went down August 1st behind the Volcom store in Lahina Maui.  Earlier in the day Volcom held the 1st stop of the Pufferfish Surf series at Lahina harbor where contestants were greeted to a clean 2 to 3 foot plus south swell.  Once the awards were presented contestants, spectators and the local Lahina crew gathered up at the shop for some grinds and waited for the sun to go down. The movie started to packed house and all the groms stoked on there BS promo.  Everyone was blown away at the level of surfing that was captured in the movie and of course load screams came from the crowd whenever Dusty was surfing.  Once the movie was done the crowd hung out having a few beers reflecting on what a great day of surfing that went and what a epic movie they had just watched

Ocean Magic Surf Shop
Jupiter, Florida
After a foggy morning and one of the best breakfast sit-downs ever we headed south to Jupiter, Florida. Vinny the local pizza guy said it best, “It’s summertime in South Florida, it’s not hot it’s wet”. Well sweat or no sweat there was a great turnout! Alex, Billy and Stevie Andrews screened tees, we grilled a ton of food, shaved bald spots into kid’s heads and had a pickled egg-eating contest. Fun times! We had over 100 humans and one dog watch the movie. Thanks to everyone who attended and thanks to Ocean Magic for helping spread the word! See you all on Monday night for our last event at Da Kine Diegos in Satellite Beach!

Maui Nix Surf Shop
Daytona Beach, Florida

Wow, we all smell so good. After the AC took a dump on us we jumped in the van for a wonderful ride filled with 8 hours of odd smells and short naps. Driving strait from South Carolina right into the world famous Dayton Beach, MTV eat your heart out. Daytona Beach has a really cool mix of people and a really good amount of them showed up for the BS! Premiere! Alex Grey showed up on fire strait off the west coast BS! Tour and instantly brought life back into what was starting to be a very beat up crew. Thanks Alex! They tour is firing on all cylinders and we will be heading to Jupiter, Florida to experience the Magic of Ocean Magic Surf Shop.

Alex Grey arrives with class and style, Ruddy showed us his home town, Ruddy fell asleep in a front yard minus the pants, Maui Nix crew rules!!, Florida is hot, East Bound and Down is hands down the funniest show on TV, Hi Graham!, Travis Ajay has jumped on the tour as the wildcard, Neck Sweat, 3 days left!!!

Things started out in the afternoon at Aviones Beach in front of Wilito's Pinchos, the venue of the premiere. All the kids went surfing and hung out until things got dark and it was showtime.

Stop # 7
Village Surf Shop
Murrells Inlet, SC

After a super fun night in Wrightsville Beach we packed up, grabbed some lunch and drove 2 hours south to Murrells Inlet, SC. You would never think that a place like Murrells Inlet would have a thriving surf seine but surprise surprise. This was one of the coolest events so far. The people, the smiles, the rain? Yes, the rain. Half way through our event I felt a somewhat cold breeze and looked up to see massive black swirling clouds quickly approaching. Uh-Ooh, we quickly devised a back up location, loaded up and headed to a cool little bar/ restaurant called Tequila Mocking bird. The place packed out and we showed to movie to a huge crowd of happy SC residents. Thanks to the Richards family for all of the help and everyone that showed up for the madness. You guys Rule!

Hey Ya’ll, Here is some random thinking.
Jon Gilliland lent a helping hand today, it rained bats and snakes, South Carolina is pretty, We had a bologna for breakfast, Granger Bought a Shark, Sean Slater separation anxiety, we met the wildest 4 year old kid who kicked Granger in the balls, Kelly Richards is a funny man, The heat topped 102 today, My friend sent me a post card one time, it had a picture of the entire planet earth on it. On the back it said “wish you were here”, The waves are flat, again. Billy and Daktal made the local news, Alex will arrive on tour tomorrow for the Florida leg of the tour. We have an 8 hour drive in the morning, See you in Daytona!

After waking up in Santa Cruz, the crew headed down to Nate Tyler's hometown area San Luis Obispo. After checking out the not so good waves at The Rock in Morro Bay, we headed up to The Old Cayucos Tavern for a bit of Shuffleboard. We played for a while and then these older hula hoop ladies rolled in so Alex had an impromptu hula hoop battle with them. It was hilarious. Next we headed over to the shop for the last stop of the West Coast tour. The crowd at One Way was one of the best we saw. People were laughing and cheering the movie and it was a great time. After we woke up this morning, we headed back down to The Rock to check out The Goldfish contest before heading home from this blast of a tour.

The West Coast tour continued on up the 101 to Santa Cruz. We had a great turnout in at the Oniell shop and kids were hyped on the movie. After the showing we all headed to Buell's dugout for the post BS! premiere piong pong championships!

Surf City Surf Shop
Wrightsville Beach, NC

Steady as she goes. Half way thru and were still movin and shakin! We parted ways with our Tour Dad Mr. Slater. Buddy, you will be missed. From here on out it’s the Van and us. It’s all-good, we are getting back to our roots. We left the Outer Banks recharged after a day of relaxation and ready for one of the coolest towns this side of the Mississippi. Pulling up to Surf City we were greeted with smiles and that good old southern style hospitality. The kids were siking on the Movie and a good night was had by all. Thanks!

Random Acts of Thoughts.

RJ downed 12 shots of Patron, 86 Southern NC locals watched BS!, We screened a tee-shirt for a dog, The AC in the van has died, I’m on a Boat!, Daktal ate a Fish taco, Hi Graham!, Neptunes was taken by storm, It rained, Evan Barton tagged 16 signs with BS! Stickers, We grilled 50 Burnt Sausages, We counted 7 dead deer on the side of HWY 64, Next stop Murrells Inlet, SC!

Yesterday morning we woke up in Encinitas and made our way up to Hermosa Beach for the first shop premiere of the West Coast tour. Kids filled the store-front which is right on the Hermosa Beach Pier. Every kid got hooked up with a bunch of product and we made banana splits for all. Alex Gray gave away one of his boards to a lucky grommet and then it was time for some BS!

Hags Head, NC
Outer Banks Boarding Co.
Hello North Carolina! We have arrived! The drive from VB to the Outer Banks twists and turns thru everything from BBQ Restaurants, Corn Fields and Monster trucks. It’s pretty darn cool. So we crash landed into OBBC, set up and all at once it seamed like 100+ kids showed up ready for mass amounts of Bologna Sandwiches and screened tee’s. We made kids do funny things for promo, showed the movie to a healthy crowd of locals and once again walked away happy and ready for the party at the brew station later that night in honor of our good old buddy old pal Martin Fucci!

Wipeout!

The Wildcard shows up once again and doesn’t disappoint, Sean was very happy about the first Jager shot of the night because it was chilled to the perfect degree according to the professionals preference, Sean is a pro person, we found Billy, He was hanging out with the Grave Digger, Ruddy dislocated his shoulder after attempting to ride a skateboard, RJ ate 43 Bologna sandwiches, Daktal has been in his cage for the last couple of nights, We raised 1,900.00 for The martin Fucci Fund, see you in Wrightsville Beach!

STOP# 6
LET’S HEAR IT FOR MARTIN!
THE BREW STATION
KILL DEVIL HILLS, NC

After our wonderful showing of BS! At OBBC earlier in the night we packed up and headed to our favorite Outer Banks watering hole, The Brew Station. The Let’s Hear It For Martin events have been a huge success and we are happy to say that Martin has gotten his implants and can now hear us loud and clear. This event was a fund- raiser to help pay for some of the bills that Martin has accrued since his surgeries over the last 6 months. To help get the night rolling Martin picked his favorite three local bands. We plugged BS! on the screen behind the bands, turned the amps to 11 and got to rocking. We raised 1,900.00 for Martin’s Fund and had a wild night with good friends! Thanks to the bands, Low Standards, Blood Fueled Machines and Fujiwara. Yea! Martin! You deserve every bit!

Last night was BS! at The La Paloma theatre in Encinitas. The place was packed with an awesome crowd of kids and adults that were exited to check the movie. Alex Gray, Nate Tyler, Andrew Doheny and Ryan Burch were all there hanging out and having a good time. Afterwards we went across the street to the Saloon and celebrated another great evening with many friends.

STOP # 4
Virginia Beach, VA
Hotline Surf Shop

Howdy! We have arrived in Virginia Beach! I love VB, the people are super friendly, the waves get decent, and the bars are always at least head-high. So before we could enjoy the nightlife that VB had to offer we did a little diddy over at Hotline Surf Shop. The groms swarmed the tent early and got themselves a tee screened by Billy Hume and Nate Tyler while Sean manned the hot dog stand. Thanks to everyone at Hotline for the support! You guys ruled it!

Weird Things happen in weird places.

Ruddy lost his wing man, 46 people watched the movie at Hotline in the rain, RJ ate 22 hotdogs and 4 bags of chips today, We drove in the rain for 4 hours, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel was long, There were 5 surf camps going on at the same time when I awoke, We had a heart shaped tub in our hotel, We found Billy, This is Nate’s last night on the tour, Don’t go in the bathroom at Chichos, Granger gave Ruddy a new pair of kicks, The Wildcard (AKA Jeff Myers) showed up, Baammmm, We ate at Big Sam’s and I had some eggs, Next stop, North Carolina! See you there!

East Coast Stop #3
The Pirates Den
Ocean City, MD

Today was a good day. We woke up, said our good-byes to the Farias family and headed south to Ocean City, Maryland. Once we arrived a couple massive lighting filled storms did as well. No biggie, we waited out the storm with our new best friends at The Pirates Den who upon our arrival had cooked us a massive Maryland Crab Cake dinner complete with all the proper fixings. We ate like kings and before we knew it the clouds parted and we got under way. Thanks Maryland! Next Stop, Virginia Beach, VA!

Ruddy shot 4000 photos today, Ruddy drops Camera on Seans Toe, Nate Tyler signed peoples necks, It rained, We screened Tee’s Until 9:45 PM, 91 People watched the movie inside the restaurant, The Pirates Den is the coolest place I’ve ever been, The Groms were on fire, Sean Slater Photo shoot in the pool, Billy Drank 22 rum runners, Sharpie Mustaches, Lightning struck the building next door, We rode on the Cape May Ferry, It rained again.

East Coast Stop # 2
Farias Surf Shop
Ship Bottom, New Jersey

People always talk about Southern Hospitality but you don’t really hear anyone say Northern Hospitality. So here it goes… That good old Northern Hospitality was shining brighter than the lights at a Bruce concert. Thanks to the Farias Family for taking us in and making our stay in New Jersey a memorable one.
So here is a list of the day’s events and shenanigans. Enjoy the photos!! Nate Tyler arrives, The stabilizer on the bus jams, RJ jumps in the sound naked, Ruddy shoots 2300 photos in one day, Sean is listening to country music non stop, everyone goes surfing, We screened 75 BS! Tee’s, Gleason slaps the Daktal on the Nardys Bus, BS! Was applauded and people were crying because of how intensely good it is. Tony Lincoln ate a sandwich, Daktal flew around in circles and everyone seems to be in a good mood. Thanks

The east tour is in full swing! We started out in North Jersey yesterday with a stop at Ocean Hut surf shop. We were greeted once we arrive to a large pack of wild groms. We set up, went for a quick surf and got under way. Here are a couple photos of humans enjoying BS! and all it has to offer. See you guys tonight in LBI at Farias Surf & Sport!

Last night was the first showing of BS! in our hometown of Newport Beach. We greeted the kids that were lined up down the block with 50 pizzas to chow down on while they waited. At 8:30 the kids were getting restless and we opened the doors to the theater and packed it full.

Before showing the movie we passed out a few hundred hats, t-shirts and other goodies to the crowd. Then we told them that there were 5 hats with writing underneath the inside flap to win each of the five signed surfboards donated by the surf stars: Andrew Doheny, Nate Tyler, Alex Gray, Mitch Coleborn and Dusty Payne. We also had two kids win signed skatedecks from Flip and a custom Volcom Snowboard. The kids that won were super hyped and just about everyone in the crowd went home with a handful of gear after watching 40 minutes of BS!

Judging by the constant hoots and hollers during the film, we'd say that the first premiere was a success. Thanks to everyone that came out, and if you missed the first one, make sure you check out the other premieres all around the USA that are going on right now!
