THE GEOFF ROWLEY SCREEN PRINTING TOUR - UK!
9/9/2009
We hit up the UK recently for a long weekend to go hang out with the geezers, drop by some stores, screen some tee's and enjoy a
bit of their summer with a BBQ or two.

Ben
Raemers was on hand for the giggles, and was flying the flag happily.

First stop was Bored Skateshop in Southsea (or Strong Island).

It was right on the coast, so we got to spend some time by the sea. I should introduce you to our good mate Stu. He jumped in the
van with us for the trip. You know how much you love Skateboarding? Well, he loves it that much, too. And he loves screenprinting
just as much. That’s a lot of love. Hence that smile.

STONE-AGE EAST COAST TOUR, ROUND 2 VIDEO!
On June 23rd we returned to the East Coast for the second part of our East
Coast Stoneage Tour, this time we all flew into Philadelphia. We had a solid
posse of riders ready for some epic t-shirt screenings and skate sessions
with the kids. The crew included of
Aaron Suski,
Darrell Stanton,
Caswell
Berry,
Jake Duncombe,
Lewis Marnell and
Filipe Ortiz.
The first stop was at Kinetic Skateshop in Wilmington, DE. We screened a
bunch of t-shirts, Caswell and Aaron had a game of skate with the kids and
Lewis Marnell spray painted a fans car orange. We headed over to FDR
skatepark for a 2 hour session, followed by a night session at a private
indoor bowl with several pizzas and beers for dinner. Thanks to Brannon John
and the rest of the crew for showing us around.
The following day it rained a lot but this didn't keep kids away from coming
out to Center City Sports and Feet First, to meet the Volcom crew, eat some
hotdogs and get a Volcom Stone-age shirt screened at the spot. Aaron,
Caswell and Filipe screened a bunch of shirts while Lewis and Darrell worked
their magic on the dryers.
On Thursday we headed over to Chris Nieratko's NJ Skateshop in Sayreville.
After we screened a bunch of tees we headed to a nearby skatepark for a
skate session with the kids. Chris and his wife Crissie were kind enough to
invite us to his home for a nice BBQ meal. Chris had some rad stories about
how he nearly got killed in Amsterdam and the introduction party of his
Japanese toilet at his house. We ended the night in a ride in his white 1960
Cadillac Deville to the local ice cream place for some amazing Banana
splits.
On Friday we went street skating around Philadelphia and we got some rad
footage and photos.
A huge thanks goes out to our team, as well as the stores and their crew for
making these events so special. Thanks for supporting Volcom for so many
years.

STONE AGE EAST COAST TOUR ROUND 1 - NORTHEAST
On Monday June 8th, the Norheast Screen Printing Tour with Pro's Caswell Berry, David Gonzalez and Am Collin Provost
began. We started our tour on a beautiful sunny day in North Hampton, NH at Pioneers Board shop. The reggae was
pumping as Slater manned the grill and fed the youngsters while they waited for tees. Our next stop was at Identity in
Portsmouth where we took over their back alley. We were cited for our "amplification" by the police, but that didn't stop the
fun. The boys fed us some pretty epic flat bread pizza while Caswell, David and Collin rifled through tees for the
crowd.
The weather quickly turned south for day 2, with rain and highs in the 50's. That didn't stop the 100+ people from showing
up at Theory Skateshop in Springfield, MA. We wish we had enough time to skate their epic park Junction, but we had to get
on the road. We then headed 90 miles east to arrive at Eastern Boarder in Natick, MA. The weather seemed to turn worse
but the kids kept coming, including EB's skate team/employees form their other 4 locations. Our team riders signed tons of
autographs, and one kid even brought his entire collection of magazines for all to sign. We kept the place open way later
than expected while their loyal customers played games of skate inside, on their rug.
Day 3 started at New Bedford's finest, Solstice skate shop. Jay was busy helping customers while an eclectic mix of skaters
and town folk were getting tees from us. A huge shout out goes to Craig at No Problemo for feeding the enitre crew with the
best burritos around. Caswell especially enjoyed Nick Dompierre's signature hot Sauce. The last stop proved to be the
largest at Civil in East Greenwich, RI. There were at least 300 people for this event, which I believe set a screen printing
record? David, Colin and the boys powered through tees as well as signing hundreds of autographs. Caswell was even nice
enough to sign someone's baby.
A huge thanks goes out to our team, as well as the following shops and their crew for making these events so special.
Thanks for supporting Volcom for so many years.
Pioneers - Steve & Heather O'hara, Buck Rowlee
Identity - Rice and Jagemann
Theory - Frank and Dan

STONE-AGE SCREEN ACTION AT THE CROSSROADS
The Volcom Stone-Age tent was in full swing at the Crossroad's tradeshow last week at Blackbox. The place was packed with kids and friends alike from all walks of the greater skateboarding family. We set up the booth and custom screened shirts for all who wanted them. Some tees came out straight forward while others came out completely different. Be on the lookout for more custom screening from the stone-age crew in the future.

GEOFF ROWLEY STONE-AGE SCREEN PRINTING ACTION IN THE PARKING LOT
This past weekend
Geoff Rowley and the Volcom crew visited several skate stores armed
with some portable screenprinting tables, heaters, screens, and a gallon of paint. Geoff got some blisters on his hands from screenprinting a ton of Volcom Stoneage Tees.
Rune Glifberg made a guest appearance and he helped out the crew for a few hours. It was a
rad weekend; all the skateboard fans walked away with a unique limited edition Volcom
Stoneage T-shirt, a tasty hotdog from the BBQ, some autographs, and a handshake from
Geoff.
