VOLCOM STONE’S FLYING FISH SURF SERIES
HALFWAY KUTA BEACH, BALI

The New season and first event of the Flying Fish surf series kicked of on August 1st 2004. The venue was moved from from Legian becaue the swell was too big for the kids. Halfway was perfect! The Surf was glassy, 1 ½ - 2 feet, it was raining in the morning but the kids keep coming. Many new faces signed up, they were so excited to hang out with other kids. This free competition gives energy to those young kids....

The 14 and Under Division started at 08.00 am, these new kids were ripping. New comer One Anwat, a Sumbawa kid now based in Kuta was shredding all day, but in the end Josh Lee from Australia took the lead points with his smooth manuevers.

Made Widiarta a.k.a Garut dominated the 18 & Under Division. He did many powerful manuevers all day. He is a rising star of Kuta.

Volcom kid, Wayan Suprayitna and Australian Lee Wilson battled hard to get the points in the Pro Am Division. Both Wilson and Suprayitna have a strong, solid and smooth style, it was a lucky Suprayitna who finished with a a long ride in the final.

Volcom Action Girl, Chanelle and Pro Am competitor, Rahtu were helpful with their commentating and comments about their friends, they encouraged the spectator’s to yell all day.

Volcom giveaways closed the ceremony and continue to make the kids happy...
