VOLCOM STONE’S SWORD FISH SURF SERIES
BALIAN BEACH, MEDEWI - BALISunday, 28th November, 2004

After a very early ride from Kuta to Medewi the restless team was ready to go at 6.00 am at Balian Beach. Kids couldn’t wait, the surf was really good 1-2 feet, we were lucky … the sky was cloudy but the rain never came, but the wind certainly did.

Kids in Grom Division surfed super hard. At the end Muklis Anwar was lucky to get more waves than Boy Sandi. The youngest kid, Abdul Kamal came in 3rd place. In Junior Division, Agus Setiadi surfed better than the other kids; he crowned as the first winner of the division. The second spot was Agus Wirawan who got his fair share of good ones, whilst the third and fourth spot were sit by new comers; Ferry and Adi Putra. Good job boys! The Pro-Am Final was just great! Everyone at the event had his or her eye on the water as this showdown took place. Both Rahim and Hadi had strong maneuvers in the 15 minutes of tight final battle, however taking the win was Rahim with a very close point.

Once the final round had been overeveryone did enjoy the free lunch that wrapped in banana leaf … super delicious! Everyone left that evening with a full belly, tons of giveaways and smiles on their face! Thanks again Balian! We’ll be back next year!
