GECKO FISH SURF SERIES
PELEMBENG BEACH – SANUR, BALI
27th February, 2005

The day was so nuts… the weather so hot and sunny and Pelembeng offered some good surf all morning long. The afternoon wind kicked in, but with the pushing swell there was still some rippable surf. To top off the day there was free nuts, drinks, snacks and traditional sate ikan (fish) for lunch.

The Groms in this area are really coming on; they are surfing so much better than before, we also had some new kids from Lembongan - Putra Hermawan and Kadek Hernison who were ripping until the final. In the end, Ogik came in first with better wave selection.

The Juniors final was a heated rival between Komang Septiana and Kadek Widiasta. Komang was so lucky, he got the best waves in the end and he did some powerful maneuvers and made a perfect big spray.In the Pro-Am Division it was Made Sutama who clearly knows how to surf in contests. He showed some skill and his powerful maneuvers gave him the edge.These kids were ripping…they were going nuts to join the VQS Championship next June!

All the winners get a nuts prize from Volcom, and the crowd was also going nuts when we spread the nuts giveaway
