VOLCOM STONE’S FLYINGFISH SURF SERIES
HALFWAY – KUTA BEACH, BALI

VOLCOM STONE FLYINGFISH was held at Halfway – Kuta Beach. The waves were 2 to 3 feet, with perfect tides and conditions.In the Groms Division, Joni Gautama was very strong with a front side snap. We also saw a good performance from Randy, but in the end it was Joni who had finished stronger to take out the first place.

The competition was very tough in the Junior division. Made Widiarta a.k.a Garut, surfed the best with his front-side speedy snaps & couple of cut back round houses, he wasn’t going to miss out on first place. Second was Wayan Mey, with some nice waves followed by Swastika in third and Soma in fourth.

The Pro Ams were fired up. Komang Sujaya a.k.a Gogo tried hard to do couple back side maneuvers but Dedi Santosa with his smooth front side snap had the better wave selection. The giveaways were huge once again, with all the kids going nuts…
