Peanut Butter And Rail Jam - Mammoth Mountain, CA 2015
Stop #3 of Volcom Stones Peanut Butter and Rail Jam felt the warm embrace of sunny skies at Mammoth Mountain, CA on Saturday Jan. 24, 2015. Volcom's own Jeff Arnold aka: @jarnoldairlines takes flight over Stop #3 of the PBRJ at Mammoth Mountain as Chris Martinez snaps an overhead photo. The PBRJ has come a long way since its inception at Mammoth Mountain 15 years ago.  What was a small gathering of local rippers celebrating snowboarding at its core has now become a global event.  The Unbound crew has brainstormed and built nearly every imaginable feature for the PBRJ in years past, but showed they still have a few tricks up their sleeves. Today’s contest site consisted of the quintessential down rail in zone 1, a double “railroad track” rail to single down rail in zone 2, and a formidable down flat down rail in zone 3.  Competitors from all over North America, New Zealand, Argentina, South Korea, and Japan came to test their skills as they tried to qualify for the  $17,000 PBRJ Global Championships at Mammoth Mountain on April 18, 2015. The Unbound crew knows what it takes to build and maintain a top notch PBRJ site. 10-Year-Old Jake Langston locks into a 50-50 transfer 50-50 to boardslide on the train track to down rail in zone 2. Jake impressed our judges so much that he earned an invite to the 2015 PBRJ Global Championships by placing 4th in the 15 & Under Division. 2014 15 & Under Division Global Champion Joey Fava cannot get enough of the PBRJ and we cannot get enough of his ripping. He shows this rail whose boss by pulling a cab 270 front board 270 out in zone 1. Judd Henkes maybe a little small in stature but stands tall on this 50-50 fs 360 off the kink in zone 3. He also pulled a perfect bs 360 50-50 in zone 1 and a half cab 50-50 transfer 50-50 board slide 270 out in zone 2 to take the win in the 15 & Under Division. Brendon Krainer leans into a nose press bs 180 out after double board sliding the railroad rails in zone 2. It was absolutely flawless so we rewarded him with a free Volcom snowboard to go with his 2nd place finish in the 16 – 21 Division. Pat Fava flexing a bs tail press through the kink rail in zone 3 as the sun shines down on Mammoth Mountain. Levi Kaseroff terrorized the down rail with multiple sw and regular 270 spins in and out. He also linked a double boardslide to fs boardslide 270 out in zone 2 and a high speed 50-50 fs 360 out in zone 3. The combination of all these dastarly deeds landed him in 1st place for the 16 - 21 Division. Spring time conditions make for a relaxing PB&J lunch break with all the fixings. Sierra Jewett links a bs 50-50 to boardslide down the formidable down flat down rail in zone 3. Jill Perkins is the happiest person we have ever seen on a snowboard. She was grinning from ear to ear the entire day. Her positive vibes were contagious. Danika Duffy slammed a few times before landing this this picture perfect gap lipslide. She had everyone cheering her on as she made her way into the top spot for the Girls Division. Danny Salazar did what no other dare attempt on this down flat down. Here he lands a board-breaking gap to flat lipslide in zone 3. He received the $100 Rev’d Rider award for this high impact maneuver. Joss McAlpin pops a solid bs 360 out of a 50-50 on the kinker in zone 3. He was hunting for the top spots bagging 3rd place for his efforts. Bryan Pracht avoids the pinch as he shoots the gap to pole jam boardslide in zone 2. Jeff Harvey put on a display of style and technicality throughout the Open/Am Division. The freeze frame here shows a stalled out fs 360 off the kink and over the business end of the down flat down in zone 3. Samm Neuman working towards victory with the bs 360 50-50 fs 180 out in zone 1. He also nailed a very notable fs boardslide through the entire down flat down rail in zone 3. We would like to thank Caroline Casey, Molly Dawoud, and Michelle Tomaier of Mammoth Mountain for their help in the facilitation of this event.  Thank you to TJ Dawoud and the entire Unbound Terrain park staff for the excellent care of the PBRJ site.  Thanks to our judges Nate Bishop, Travis Rebiscke, and Thomas Moloney for keeping track of all the riders throughout the day. Thank you to the entire Volcom team of Oren Tanzer, Jeff Arnold, Chris Sumpter, Chris Martinez, Hope Lane, and Miquette Elliott. Volcom Groms Take Over Hossegor For The Summer!
Video thumbnail: Charly Quivront If you are a surfer, the Euro Volcom House could quite possibly be the most prime spot to stay in Hossegor. Located right in front of one of the best surf breaks in France, it's just a short walk and climb over the dune to get to this prized location. Surf groms from the Volcom team have access to this playhouse, and need to follow only two rules: surf their brains out and have fun while doing it! What a life it is to be a salty grom in 2015. House-crashers William Aliotti, the Caribbean surfer, but almost permanent resident at the House, Leon Glatzer, the German kid from Costa Rica, Charly Quivront from France, and the local Justin Becret, tore apart the local break during their stay while photographer Andrew Christie was sure to capture some gold. We can’t wait next summer!!! Filmed and Edited by Andrew Christie William Aliotti Leon Glatzer Justin Becret

Björn Lindgren Field Tests Volcom’s Guide Jacket In The Harshest Of Environments
Björn Lindgren is a Volcom lifer. Snowboarding since 1991 and featured in TW Snowboarding’s Scanners article in '94, he went on to accomplish too many great things to mention here. However, he never wanted to leave the solitude and unique terrain of his home resort Riksgränsen-Sweden for good. Sure it’s cold, dark and gray for a long part of the year up there, what else would you expect above the Arctic Circle? Then again, the appeal of a life smack in the middle of the great white open rather than living and working in a cubicle in Paris for sure is more appealing to some. And for those few enlightened ones, who prefer the outdoors over the indoors, Volcom’s GPT gear is just right. 210 COMPETITORS BOMBARD VOLCOM'S BLOWFISH SURF SERIES IN SUNNY SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA.
The best way to start off a great contest weekend is with a good ole fashioned pre-event signup party, which we got underway in usual Volcom TCT style. Friday afternoon the crew rolled into Hansens Surfboards in Encinitas and before we knew it the BBQ was fired up, the Groms were playing games of skate, and the good times were a plenty. After signing up half of the overall competitors in 2 hours everyone was amping and couldn’t wait for Saturday. Especially after taking a peep at the swell forecast. Yeah, so it was this good... The next morning bright and early we rolled in the Seaside Reef parking lot to see what we already expected, really fun looking, consistent surf. The day was looking up from the start. Right behind our convoy was a plethora of frothing Groms ready to help get the event site set up and get the heats in the water! First up was the Juniors division, and they made it known theirs was an act that was going to be tough to follow. There was such a great turnout we ran double beach heats from the first one almost all the way through the day. Seaside Reef always brings a multi-talented group of frothing Groms, Levi Slawson and firecracker hair are in the category! We pushed on through the day with tons of great waves throughout, and equally high scores to match. One thing can be said about the Blowfish Surf Series at Seaside Reef, it lacks no showing of great surfers chomping at the bit. Mother Nature blessed us with calm winds, bright sunshine, and consistently good surf all day just to help. The surf continued to pump all day, Griffen Foy... Little dude big turn! Moving into the end of the day spectators lined the seating area by the guard tower and packed the beaches to see what the remaining competitors had left in the tank. This was surely going to be an action packed finals all the way around! The Reef was firing and Palli’s was pumping as well, everyone was frothing. The rocky beach setup at Seaside always make for a great viewing arena. When it was all said and done Evan Gallen left with the grape juice shower for the crowd favorite Squids division, while Griffen Foy took top honors in the shredding Groms divison. Moving on Kirra Pinkerton snagged a win in the highly contested Girls division. Our final two divisions saw an always ripping Kei Kobayashi come over from Hawaii to snag the top honors in Juniors to seal up a seat at champs, and a very elated and ever deserving Kevin Schulz drenched in sparkling grape juice with a cool $500 to take home for the win in the Pro-Am division. Jonah Carter fins out and giving the right the ole "going over." Many thanks go out to everyone for coming down and making this years Volcom TCT Blowfish Surf Series, yet another great event. Thank you to our sponsors and also Hansens Surfboards for the continued support and we look forward to what’s next! Our good friends at Wienerschnitzel provided lunch for all 210 competitors and then some! When the surf is this good it's fun to see the groms using their power game. Jack Boyes on the backhand. Hair-reverse anyone?? So he was going really really fast. Carlos Carpenter hits the e-brake. The groms at Seaside are so rad we had to Watermelon Award them twice! Isiak Day and Cal Corn smiles for miles. How can you not love the Squids division, these kids are the future! Here are you Blowfish Surf Series Squids division winners, full froth. You mind surf, Griffen Foy will make it reality. If this spread doesn't make you want to reach the finals, nothing will. The end sections of a Seaside Reef wave provide a perfect canvas for any finishing maneuver. Kadin Panesi showing us the ropes! Kei Kobayashi, Griffen Foy, Kirra Pinkerton. Winner, Winner, Winner. Chicken for dinner. Kevin Schulz, sweet turn, sweet lighting, sweet victory. Let it rain sparkling cider gods, let it rain. Kevin Schulz reaping the rewards. Special Thanks Goes Out To Our Product Sponsors: NEW ERA CAP REV'D WIENERSCHNITZEL PENNY SKATEBOARDS SURFING MAGAZINE KICKER GOPRO FUTURE FINS WATERMANS SUNSCREEN That right there is a big batch of finalists! Congratulations a plenty.   RESULTS PRO-AM 1. Kevin Schulz - $500.00 2. Tommy Wehsener 3. Wyatt Brady 4. Danny Berk 5. Jonah Carter 6. Bronson Wheeler JUNIORS 1. Kei Kobayashi 2. Curran Dand 3.
