VOLCOM'S TOGA PARTY AT SURF EXPO AND RAMP RUSH RESULTS!

TOGA, TOGA, TOGA!!!
Well now that Volcom’s Ramp Rush is over, we’ve got a ton of photos and video clips from the contest. The turnout was huge, not only from the skaters but also from everyone that came to the convention center to see all the action unfold. The skating was top-notch from everyone, and it was a close call to make the final cut; a few standouts that didn’t make it were Benji Galloway, Pat Duffy and Emmanuel Guzman. After the practice on Friday and the Pro finals on Saturday, we had a Toga party at four that was completely out of control to say the least. All the boys jumped right in and either celebrated their winnings with a few coldies or drowned their sorrows in a few. Needless to say, everyone within shouting distance had a great time – as you can see by the photos below.
As for the ams on Sunday… I think I’m not the only one that said they were completely blown away by the level of skating these kids are at these days. Just in the last four months since our last mini ramp jam, you could really see these guys have been honing in on their skills. Some of the smallest kids on the course (Grant Taylor, Jake Duncombe, Chaz Pineda & Collin Provost) are some of the ones that are skating like full-grown men. Collin had an amazing first run but managed to catch his wrist after a b/s 360 melon and spent most of the jam getting prepped by the ER guys to head to the emergency room.
