We had a moment to stop in with our friends at Trousers in Courtenay, B.C. to catch up
with what they had going on in their shop world! Besides being a great place to spend
some time, we enjoyed hearing more insight on Trousers....

When did your store open? November 1996
What intrigues you about the retail business? The ever changing trends and
keeping ahead of them
How long have you been carrying Volcom? 3 years
What is your favorite Volcom piece? The Modern straight jean in dk. Rinse + all
the dresses
Describe your typical customer? Fashion forward, young in attitude, trendy and
lots of fun
What trends are you seeing in the market place and what are your customers asking
for? Great boots and bags, skinny jeans, dresses, dresses, dresses, great sweaters
and flowy tops
What music are you currently playing in the store? Indie bands, Mother Mother,
Kings of Leon and current tunes brought in by staff.
How do you keep your store up with the trends? Lots of magazines, internet
browsing and shopping in the big city
What makes your shop special and what do you do to keep your customer coming
back? Our sales staff are EXCEPTIONAL… We develop relationships with the
customers, listen to what they need and help them with what we know they need!
