A couple of months ago we headed over to Japan for a quick tour of the countryside. We began in Tokyo and headed north to visit Fukushima, Yamagata and Sendai before ending up at the Volcom Store for their 2nd Anniversary Party. If you have not seen the article in the new Transworld Skateboarding Mag(February 2010), get down to your local shop and buy a copy. The mission was epic. We had two vans stuffed full of skaters. Appleyard, Dollin, Caswell Berry and Gravette were mixed with our Japanese Volcom Crew consisting of Hiro, Gane, Buchi, Shota, Kota, Shuhei and Saito. They took us to an assortment of awesome spots and skateparks, as well as eateries where everybody had a chance to try Japanese delicacies and delights. Some fared better than others in this latter activity. Regardless of palette preferences, the trip was epic. Check out these extra photos that are not in the article and peep the video from the trip as well.

David Gravette felt it necessary to have Mark Appleyard float a Japan Air over him off this sketchy launch ramp, to which he easily obliged.
