Yes Mate, Shane Cross was voted Slam Magazines Skater of the Year by all of his peers in Australia. After a phenomenal year, Australia's biggest skateboard magazine awarded Shane Cross their most prestigious award. After receiving it in front of thousands at the awards ceremony for the Globe contest we attended a party in Shane's honor at the Hi-Fi club in downtown Melbourne. We had to move our party to another bar later on Saturday night when a Volcom Team rider who will remain anonymous unleashed the fire hose in the bar. it was one of the funniest things I have ever witnessed. Congratulations Shane, you deserve it mate!
