5 MINUTES WITH RYAN SHECKLER 9/26/2005


Our staff skate photographer Andrew Mapstone went over to Ryan's house a few days ago and shot these sequences of him skating his rail in the backyard. After getting the photos, I figured we should check in on Ryan and see what he has been up to. Here is what he had to say: What have you been up to lately? I have been skating tons.. Just trying to learn tons of new tricks and stay ripping. You have being doing pretty well in the dew tour. How do you feel about going into the next two events? I feel amazing going into the next two events of the dew tour because I have done pretty well so far. So I guess we will see. How is high school treating you? High school is great. I am homeschooled this year so there is not that much stress on me for skating and traveling and such. Have you been practicing driving? Do you have your permit yet? Well I kinda have a permit I have the first part of it. All I have to do is go to the dmv and get the other part done.. I have been really busy lately. But I have drove a little. Shhhhhh. What kind of car are you going to be driving when you turn 16? Well when I turned 15 I bought a 2003 Range Rover. Whatttt What is your favorite subject in school? At school I liked english a ton. So we will see what the new favorite is when I go back. Who and what has been getting you motivated to skate lately? I get motivated to skate with my friend ryan mcclintock. He keeps me trying new tricks and it is always fun to skate with him. What does your set up consist of? My current set up is almost board bones wheels tensor trucks ninja bearings. How much have you grown in the last year? In the last year I have grown like 4 or 5 inches. Where is you favorite place to travel? Favorite place to travel is by far Australia. I love the weather and the people and the spots. Do you use myspace? I DO NOT HAVE A MYSPACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
