The new Volcom Brother’s Skatepark in Mammoth California just had its official dedication ceremony this past Saturday, September 24th. The park is the first of it’s kind in California, a truly gnarly concrete wonderland built by Mark Hubbard and the Grindline crew. It boasts 45.000 square feet of fresh concrete and is still expanding due to overwhelming approval from the local community. The park also has California’s first concrete cradle as well. People were flying way up high around 10:30 o’clock all weekend long. The park should be officially done by November. A ton of rippers showed up for the event: Matt Dove, Aaron Suski, Dennis Busenitz, Peter Hewitt, Darren Naverrette, Omar Hassan, Remy Stratton and Jeff Grosso were there; even Tony Hawk took some runs. I highly recommend getting up to the Mammoth Lakes area as soon as possible to skate the new park before it starts snowing. The weather is still good, so you can camp out like we did. Skate all day and bonfire all night!
