| 2006 WILD IN THE PARKS CONTEST SCHEDULE! |
|
|
 |
Wild in the Parks was born when we noticed something needed to change in
the amateur skateboard contest scene. We decided to take a different path,
the road less traveled, and offer something new and entirely different. We
came up with a new jam format that alleviates both stress and boredom at
events.
Wild in the Parks is for young up and coming skaters to come out and show
their skills. Think of the event like three best trick contests; skaters are judged
on the tricks they pull in three separate park areas, never on their bails. Wild
in the Parks is about giving back to the skaters. With this in mind, the series is
entirely free. There are absolutely no entry fees, so anyone can enter. Show
up early or register on the website to ensure a spot in the contest, because they fill up quick. It is a great
environment to hang out, eat some free food, skate, cheer on friends, and go
home with a ton of free prizes!
Keep your eyes open for the WITP series ads coming soon in Thrasher and Transworld skate mags. Click on the photos to the left to watch last year's contest videos!
