The first stop was in Mexico City at the Destructible Shop where more than 200 special guests had the chance to be the first people in the whole continent to get a look at the new Volcom Footwear. A local band called Le Baron rocked the house while Raw Power played Dj Sets before and after. Raw Power lived up to their name running an hour long live transmission to their radio audience who were following the event from home. We also had the pleasure of one of Mexico’s most renowned artist, Marcos Castro. Castro was the center of attention while he made a hand painted piece with our Volcom. None less important was the presence of our Mexican skate rippers, Mario Saenz and Michael Scott and having the lens of the rock photographer Tony Francois to capture the whole deal.
Moving forward, the Volcom Tour continued to Panama where we met with Ozzie Wright and the Goons of Doom coming directly from Australia. In the old town, the chosen location was Onplog Bar. About 300 people, including the best local surfers, models and renowned artists, gathered together with the main purpose of sharing an awesome moment. Everyone took a few Volcom gifts and enjoyed the wild ride of the Goons in a night that will be hard to forget.
The next day the ‘Ticos’ were the fortunate ones. Costa Rica was the only country that could enjoy two different Goons of Doom shows. The first in the center of San Rafael Escazu, in a venue called Luxe Lounge. With the locals ‘Las Robertas’ opening, then the Goons demonstrated their ‘psychedelia’ in a very volcomized environment with surf, rock and skate vibes all around. Possibly the biggest stars of the night were the models from Independent Model Management who kept the place fashionable and fun.
After two nights of rocking out, the Goons needed to reconnect with their inner soul surfer. It was the perfect timing to catch some waves and Jaco Beach was the spot. Finally they could paddle in and enjoy som surfing with the Volcom’s team rider from Ecuador, Carlos Goncalves who came to town just to surf with the boys. Later that day, we headed toLos Amigos, a local bar where we could enjoy a more intimate show despite the pouring rain characteristic of Costa Rica that time of the year.
Three shows in a row in three different cities deserved a rest and surf was the first thing that came to our minds. The goons and Goncalvez enjoyed Costa Rica’s breaks while avoiding crocs in the line up…
No doubt about it, a lot more is coming. For now we just hope you all have enjoyed the Goons of Doom and our new collection of Volcom Footwear.

Coming in hot from their Central American tour, we piled Ozzie Wright and Goons of Doom in
the Volcom van and hit the road to surf and visit local shops during the day and then Rock n
Roll all night on their week long Southern California layover. Anytime the Goons come to
town, it's a guaranteed good time and then when you throw in guest appearances by Droid
and his band Power Lunch, it's quite possible we broke the fun-o-meter as evidenced in the
photographic proof below
