Arto Saari - True To This Photo Show In Hong Kong
VOLCOM is proud to present the TRUE TO THIS pop-up photo exhibition featuring the work of renowned photographer and skater Arto Saari, who is showing his iconic skateboarding images alongside a series of portraits in Hong Kong for the first time. The body of work is juxtaposed alongside the winning images from Hong Kong and Taiwan of the TRUE TO THIS photo contest, which were also personally selected by Arto Saari. Taking place at the lifestyle retail space WOAW Store, the exhibition crosses the worlds of fashion, board-sports and photography. In addition to the exhibition, a special retail corner will showcase the upgraded Volcom Brand Jeans Collection, including the 2X4, Vorta, Solver and Kinkade, available in a wide range of washes. To celebrate this unique project, VOLCOM and WOAW Store hosted an event attended by a wide spectrum of guests including international DJ Steve Aoki, LMF band members (Prodip Leung, Phat Chan, and Kevin Boy), model/DJ Eve Speciall, and a host of local influencers including Calvin Wang, Lindsay Jang, Alex Maeland, Laurent Segretier, and Oscar Wang. Music was provided by the venerable DJ Nat King Soul with catering by Elephant Grounds and Hong Kong Beer Co. A huge thanks to Arto for being involved in this one from the beginning and a big congrats to all of the winners!
