Current Residence: Mammoth Lakes, Ca

Favorite Volcom piece oil stained pant.

Scott Blum rides fast, puts his headphones on blast, sprays skiers, and doesn’t stop for anyone. His snowboarding is aggressive, and he loves it. Blum is punk rock. He grew up riding Los Angeles County local spot, Mt. High, after school and on weekends. During a trip to Mammoth when he was 16, Blum decided he wasn’t going back home. So, he dropped out of school, found a couch to sleep on and bought a pass. Scott still calls Mammoth home, and you can find him lapping South Park just about everyday of the week. In 2012, Blum received the cover of Snowboarder Magazine’s January issue, along with releasing a full part in Volcom’s video, IP2. Look for Blum in Veeco Productions latest film True To This, a feature film celebrating America's first boarding company. Blum loves snowboarding more than the world, and wouldn’t trade anything for being able to ride a chairlift everyday.

I really enjoy sharing the little miracles of life with them. To see the excitement of discovery put a sparkle in their eye fills my heart with joy. It's without a doubt the best thing that's ever happened to me. Bryan Iguchi was born and raised in Southern California. He grew up riding Snow Summit in the heat of snowboarding’s uprise, and was a key element to the progression of man-made snowboard parks. After his time in California, he packed up shop and escaped for the mountains, landing in beautiful Wyoming in a little place called Jackson Hole where he would find his ultimate paradise. Two decades later, Guch is considered the godfather of the Jackson Hole snowboard community and still an active player on the mountains today. He’s part of the "older" generation nowadays, but it's safe to say he snowboards twice as much as the younger up-and-comers due to his unconditional love for the sport. He was one of the first snowboarders added to the Volcom Stone team roster in 1991 and has become the foundation of what Volcom Snowboarding is today. Don’t push them in any direction, but always be there to support them. Always be positive and help shed light from above. As a youngster, Gavin Beschen grew up in Southern California in San Clemente, a strong, tight-knit surf community which houses the famous Lower, Trestles point break. Gavin's fluid and effortless style is one-of-a-kind, but he grew up admiring local San Clemente guys like Dino Andino, Matt Archbold, and the McNulty brothers for their raw power and humble support. After graduating high school in '94, Gavin spent a majority of his time on the North Shore of Oahu, and two years later found himself calling it his home. Now, twenty years later, and Gavin is still loving the paradise that he found, calling it "a piece of heaven," living his dream with his wife and young son. Making sure you are healthy and you'll be coming home to them 'til they are old enough to look after themselves. Ozzie Wright: father, pro surfer, artist, musician, 100% rad dad hailing from Sydney, Australia needs no introduction (but here it comes anyway). A Volcom team rider since the 90's grunge era, Ozzie has been making a statement in the surf scene for years. Known for his air game and punk-rock-grunge-rock-whatever style, he paints everything he sees and sees everything to paint. Ozzie lives in Australia with his family which includes his two young children, who are both destined to be some type of artist, surfer, or musician... Psychic Migrations: South America
Volcom Stone's latest feature surf film, Psychic Migrations, is set to release in September 2015 and we are unveiling some of the remote locations where the movie was filmed, along with a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip for you and a friend to the Global Premiere in Newport Beach, CA. on September 17, click here to enter. Ozzie Wright, Nate Tyler and Ryan Burch drifted to South America recently to film for Psychic Migrations and what they got was some uninhabited, ghostly waves. Predominantly left-hand point breaks, these three goofy-footers thoroughly enjoyed these frontside sand-bottom playgrounds and stayed out for hours and hours. And like any odyssey, the most important step is the first one: location, location, location, and this place didn't disappoint. As Director Ryan Thomas puts it: "I was trying to focus on the landscape. That's where my head's at with this film. But when it comes down to it, it's a surf movie, and I think people will be pleased with the surfing in it." Ozzie Wright, somewhere in South Americas. Photo: Brian Bielmann Candid moment for Ozzie. Mitch Coleborn and Ozzie Wright didn't need to go far to film for this Psychic Migrations trip to Australia. Natives to the country, Mitch and Ozzie were stoked to get some filming in for the movie close to home and score some epic barrels (and of course, airs). But that's not what you'll only be seeing from Mitch, Ozzie, and the rest of the PM crew, in fact, this movie has a different feel. Director Ryan Thomas  explains: "I try not to repeat myself from film to film. This one is going to be very different than, say, BS!, which was a little sarcastic. This one has a very different mood, and I hope people are with me on it." Mitch Coleborn and Ozzie Wright journey to the beach somewhere in Australia. Photo: Tom Carey Mitch Coleborn, aussie-livin'.
