Favorite Volcom piece oil stained pant.

Scott Blum rides fast, puts his headphones on blast, sprays skiers, and doesn’t stop for anyone. His snowboarding is aggressive, and he loves it. Blum is punk rock. He grew up riding Los Angeles County local spot, Mt. High, after school and on weekends. During a trip to Mammoth when he was 16, Blum decided he wasn’t going back home. So, he dropped out of school, found a couch to sleep on and bought a pass. Scott still calls Mammoth home, and you can find him lapping South Park just about everyday of the week. In 2012, Blum received the cover of Snowboarder Magazine’s January issue, along with releasing a full part in Volcom’s video, IP2. Look for Blum in Veeco Productions latest film True To This, a feature film celebrating America's first boarding company. Blum loves snowboarding more than the world, and wouldn’t trade anything for being able to ride a chairlift everyday.

The weather forecasts are firing, your crew is blowing you up, and the weekend shred getaway is dialed in! Now the serious question: what are you going to pack?! Some of the biggest things that can make or break that perfect day of shredding is how you prepare for the conditions and a little knowledge into what to expect. As we all know, you aren’t going to last long nuking pow day showing up to the chairlift in just a hoodie, or getting stuck sweating it out in that heavy down jacket during warm spring conditions. Making good outerwear decisions is crucial! So, to help you out, we had a few of the Volcom Snow Team riders breakdown their favorite gear to wear during their hometown weekend shred sessions! .bquote {margin:0;font-size:24px !important;} @media only screen and (max-width: 960px){ .bquote {font-size:16px !important;} } @media only screen and (max-width: 768px){ .bquote {margin:0;} } "When planning a trip to Mammoth, CA in November, you can expect conditions to range from sunny and perfect to puking powder. My go-to outerwear set up is a hooded sweatshirt with a flannel or windbreaker, but I always keep a good warm / waterproof jacket close by for the cold mornings and surprise powder days."- Scott Blum Shop Blum's Winter Weekend Essentials Simons Insulated Flannel Jacket JLA Stone Zip Fleece Alternate Jacket Freakin Snow Chino Base RPET Crew Base Layer Pant Sweep Beanie Stay Dry Mitt More Winter Weekend Essentials Scott Blum Bryan Iguchi Pat Moore Arthur Longo Elena Hight Marcus Kleveland Shop All Snow Outerwear

Volcom Snowboarding - Stone Army
Words like “raw” are often thrown around hastily to describe edits, clips, and riding style, but few videos really embody the untethered proclivity that draws all of us into ripping turns season after season. Last spring the Volcom crew was busy doing what they do best, on a van trip throughout New England and the Mid-Atlantic with stops at Superpark 19, Eastern Boarder’s Last Call and Rhode Island’s Yawgoo Valley, riding away from the impossible in the Midwest, and sending it way past sunset at Mammoth during The Launch. The collective snowboarding by the Stone Army is unfiltered, loose, and stocked with the hard-to-describe quality that anyone who spends most of their time strapped into a snowboard will immediately recognize. This short movie keeps you glued to the screen for the entire ten minutes, so sit back and take it in. Featuring Benny Milam, Jake Selover, Reid Smith, Zach Normandin, Lyon Farrell, Brock Crouch, Chandler Hunt, Cody Warble, Merrick Joyce, Parker Szumowski, Mary Rand, Richie Conklin, Mike Ravelson, Scott Blum, Frank Knab, and Jamie Lynn. Enjoy and for more fun, follow stone.army on Snapchat. Filmed by Seth Huot, Pat Barraza, Jeff Kabigting, Jake Price, Derek Combs, and Tim Stanford.     Check out the all-new 2016 Volcom Outerwear HERE. Volcom Snowboarding 2016 Collection, featuring Men's, Women's and Boys' Snowboard Jackets, Snow Pants, & Snowboarding Gear. Outerwear that is built to perform with style and functionality.

Mr. Plant North America Premier Tour
On Friday October 17th, Volcom kicked off the North American leg of the Mr. Plant Premier Tour. Pat Moore and Jake Price were gearing up for a tour consisting of 8 premiers, 8 cities in 9 days and what better city to kick of the tour than Volcom's  own back yard, Newport Beach, CA. The infamous Lido Live Theater would be the setting for the kick off of the North America Mr Plant tour.  Snowboard industry members and fans a like made their way to the infamous Lido Live Theater in downtown Newport. The 500 seat theater was filled to the brim with a rowdy crew of shred heads. Out from the Volcom Snowboard team to check the film was Pat Moore, Curtis Ciszek, Seth Huot, Bryan Iguchi, Scott Blum, Alex Lopez and Elena Hight. Through out the duration of the film, the theater about blew a screw from the hoots and screams of a hyped crowd, and at the end of the night you couldn't find one person in the theater that didn't have snow on the brain! And this was just the Beginning... The 500 seat theater was jam packed!    Wooly introduced the crowd to the upcoming nights festivities.  Pat and Jake brought up the team for a final thanks before rolling the film.   Free stuff! The Mission Theater in Portland, OR would host the 2nd stop of the Mr. Plant North America Tour. Open bar dude! Pat's ending part brought the crowd to their feet. Pat and Jake brought the party down the street to Slabtown for some cold PBRs and old school Punk. Bi-Marks tearing down the doors. See you in the morning Vancouver! Jake spent his birthday at the Vancouver premier stop, here you see Pat leading all of the Bimini's Public House in singing Jake Happy Birthday. Bimini's Public House had no shortage of TVs, and Mr.Plant was playing on everyone of them. See, told you... [caption id="attachment_11720" align="aligncenter" width="640"] The moment the credits rolled, Black Wizard got straight to melting faces. Perfect way to end a great show in Vancouver! The Uptown Theater in Seattle was ready for the rowdy Mr. Plant crew.[/caption] Mr. Plant stickers were a hot commodity. Northwest Sales Rep Clint Graham welcomes his fellow Seattle citizens to the show. Roll the film Pat! This kid snuck out of his crib to see the movie! The boys brought the after party to Spitfire, while Jamie Lynn and Wes Makepeace brought the tunes. Those who joined were amping, especially Pat Moore. Jamie and Wes go by Tittyfish. You'll be hard pressed to find a more legendary band in the snowboard scene. Thanks for the jams guys, and goodnight Seattle!   Asymbol Gallery had a special Mr. Plant photo gallery waiting for Pat and Jake once they got into Jackson Hole.   The gallery featured a collection of Vernon Deck's photos from the filming of Mr. Plant.   Travis Rice was syched to show they guys what he had prepared for them.   Pat gave Bryan Iguchi a print out of the photo collection as a gift for all he did for the film.   Snowboard film making genius and director of Mr. Plant, Jake Price, caught in the act.   The Center of the Arts was up and running for the Jackson, WY premier stop.   Hand over the Mr. Plant goodies!   Hometown hero, Bryan Iguchi thanks Pat, Jake and his local crowd for joining for the night's excitement.   Jackson Hole was very pleased!   A rowdy mob waited out front of the Tower Theater in Salt Lake City.   In the mob was a laundry list of snowboard heavy weights, these two included. JP Walker and Jeremy Jones waiting for the doors to open.     Director Jake Price with the man with the opening part, Jake Welch. Bust the doors down and get a good seat!   Pat was caught off gaurd by all the excited shred heads!   The theater always goes nuts when JLA comes on screen.   Pure pandemonium! SLC rocked the house down. Definitely the loudest crowd on tour yet!     Next stop, Summit Music Hall, Denver, CO. As fans made their way over to the theater from the Bronco's game, Muscle Beach welcomed them with heavy riffs and beer spray.   Satellite Boardshop out of Boulder announced the winners of the Crew Battle video contest they put on. Volcom's very own Dylan Alito and friends took the win! ZSC!!   By the time the movie played, the theater was shoulder to shoulder.   Elena seamed to find enough room for a slash...   The Denver snowboard scene was running high after a stiff Pat Moore/Metallica cocktail. Perfect time to a product toss!   To cap off Pat's stay in Denver, Taun Taun lulled him to sleep with throttling drums and wailing guitar solos. Just how Pat likes it.   For the last and final stop of the Mr. Plant North American Premier Tour, Montreal!   Cabaret Underworld would host the finally send off, and it did not disappoint.   Pat even got in the Montreal spirit! Him and Jake thank the crowd for sending them home with a proper hangover.   Stoney Baloney   The boys were sad to be done with the North American leg of the Mr.Plant premier tour, but then again, what did they have to complain about when the next stop is Asia?! Later boys, and good luck... After a whorl wind tour of 8 premiers, 8 cities in 9 days, Pat and Jake were exhausted, but running high on North American stoke! Now, it is off to Asia to hype of South Korea and Japan. Mr. Plant out!
