Warranty Policy

 

Volcom is proud of the quality and performance of all our products. All warranties only apply within the specified time frame, when the item is used in normal conditions, and for the purpose the product was originally designed. All warranties do not cover any damage due to misuse, abuse, accidents, neglect, normal wear and tear, theft or damage caused by anything other than defect in materials and workmanship. Volcom has the sole discretion to determine whether an item is covered under the warranty policy. A valid proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims. Volcom is not liable for any items lost in transit. Any shipping claims need to be made with the appropriate shipping company.

 

Apparel and accessories:  Volcom apparel and accessories are warranted against defects in material or workmanship for 90 days from the original date of purchase. This warranty applies when the product is used under normal conditions and for the purpose the product was originally designed. This warranty does not apply to damage related to normal wear and tear, accident, alteration, improper care, improper fit, misuse or negligence. Workmanship refers to the way the product has been assembled (e.g., stitching, sewn seams, attached trims, etc.), while ordinary wear and tear happens as a result of regular maintenance and use. Be sure to always follow all care label instructions carefully to prolong the life of your apparel and accessories. The Volcom warranty program does not cover any defects due to improper fit and any alteration to the product will void warranty. Repaired or replaced items are a continuation of the original warranty, and do not create a new warranty timeline.

Warranty is only valid with a proof of purchase from an authorized Volcom Dealer (Copy of receipt or bank statement reflecting authorized Dealer also accepted).  

 *If product cannot be repaired and is no longer available, a like item will be selected for replacement at the discretion of the Volcom Warranty Team*

Footwear: Volcom warrants all footwear products to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 30 days from the original date of purchase. This warranty applies when the product is used under normal conditions and for the purpose the product was originally designed. This warranty does not apply to damage related to accident, alteration, improper care, improper fit, misuse or negligence. If, after inspection by Volcom warranty personnel, a product is found to be defective Volcom will repair or replace the product with a comparable model at Volcom’s discretion. Repaired or replaced items are a continuation of the original warranty, and do not create a new warranty timeline.

Bags and luggage:  All Volcom bags and luggage are warranted against manufacturer defects in material and workmanship for 1 year from the date of purchase.  This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and does not cover damage from normal wear and tear, accidents, abuse, improper care, misuse or negligence, or the normal breakdown of colors and materials.  Luggage damage incurred during airline handling is not covered by this warranty and claims in such cases should be made directly with the airline. Repaired or replaced items are a continuation of the original warranty, and do not create a new warranty timeline.  A valid proof of purchase (Receipt or bank statement) must be presented with all claims for warranty services.

Snow outerwear and accessories:  Such Product is warranted against manufacturer defects pertaining to the workmanship of the product for a period of 2 years from the original purchase date. Workmanship refers to the way the product has been assembled e.g. stitching, sewn seams, attached trims.

To be eligible under the Snow Warranty Program, the original purchaser of the product must provide Volcom with a proof of purchase of an eligible product in the form of (a) an online order confirmation sent by Volcom, (b) a bank statement or credit card statement reflecting the purchase and purchase date of the product, or (c) the original, itemized packing slip provided by Volcom with the shipment of the product  reflecting the purchase and purchase date of the product (collectively, “Proof of Purchase”). 

What this snow warranty does not cover

The Snow Warranty Program does not cover defects due to normal wear and tear, damages related to accident, alteration of product, improper care and/or negligence, improper fit, or the natural wear and tear or breakdown of colors and materials over time. Damages incurred from impact with trees, hard-pack snow, chair lift equipment, elements and objects associate with snow activities are not covered by warranty. Products used consistently in certain conditions and exposed to the elements are going to show wear and tear at a faster rate than those used indoors and/or less frequently. The following is not covered under warranty and will make the product ineligible for warranty coverage under the Snow Warranty Program: the use of bleaches, wash additives, dry cleaning, over drying, and/or the failure to properly wash product.

The decision to repair, replace, or reject is made at the discretion of Volcom based upon an examination of the product and proof of purchase. Products within the warranty will always first be repaired as this is the most responsible and sustainable option. If the product is unable to be repaired, then a replacement will be provided at the discretion of the Volcom Warranty Team. Repaired or replaced items are a continuation of the original warranty, and do not create a new warranty timeline.

If the damages to your product are not covered under Volcom Warranty and you would like it repaired, Volcom can help facilitate your repairs with Gear Restore in the US or Canada, with costs and expenses incurred by customer.

Wetsuits: Such product is warranted against manufacturer defects pertaining to the workmanship of the product for a period of 1 year from the original purchase date. Workmanship refers to the way the product has been assembled, e.g. stitching, seams, attached trims. Please note there is a difference between wetsuit and dry suit Wetsuits are not designed to keep you dry.

The following is not covered under warranty and will make the product ineligible for warranty coverage under the Wetsuit Warranty Program: the use of bleaches, wash additives, dry cleaning, machine drying, and/or the failure to properly wash product.

To properly care for your Wetsuit and to prevent any void of warranty, we recommend that the Wetsuits never be put in a washer or a dryer and should never be left in direct sunlight to dry. Wetsuits should always be rinsed with fresh water and hung to dry not in direct sunlight. When hanging to dry, avoid hanging by shoulders as we recommend it to be folded over a bar or hanger at the waistline. Light soap or detergent is okay to use when washing.

Eyewear: Our eyewear is manufactured by third party, Electric. Please direct all Volcom Eyewear warranty claims to the manufacturer at https://www.electriccalifornia.com/pages/warranty-claim and complete the steps as indicated.

Tuesday Bikes X Volcom: Our Tuesday Bikes X are manufacturer by third party, PGW Bike. Warranty registration may be completed at http://www.pgwbike.com/. Please visit http://www.pgwbike.com/docs/warranties/PGW_Tuesday_Warranty_U.S.A.pdf for all Tuesday Bikes X Volcom warranty claims or you may take your bicycle to the nearest Tuesday dealer (or local bike shop) and  they can process a claim on your behalf.
