Celebrate National Beer Day With The Volcom X Primo Limited Collection
THE VOLCOM X PRIMO COLLABORATION CAPTURES THE HAWAIIAN LIFESTYLE THAT’S PERFECT FOR THE BEACH, POOL OR BOAT. KICK BACK, RELAX AND ENJOY THE ALOHA.
April 7th is National Beer Day, the unofficial holiday marking the passage of the Cullen–Harrison Act in 1933 that was the precursor to the official end of Prohibition when the Twenty-First Amendment was ratified later that December.
Established in 1897, Primo (@primohawaii on Instagram), known as Hawai’i’s Original Beer, itself halted brewing operations when the Eighteenth Amendment and the Volstead Act passed in 1920. Production resumed in 1933 when Prohibition ended and the beer became massively popular in Hawai’i through the second half of the century. Production halted again in 1997 and was then reintroduced by Pabst Brewing Company in 2007.
The first American brewery to bottle it’s beer in aluminum cans in 1958, Primo’s first-to-market innovations continue to this day with the introduction of the collaborative Volcom X Primo boardshort that’s designed to comfortably hold two 12oz cans securely in the short’s cargo pocket.
