Do It Yourself: Pumpkin Spice Latte

Do It Yourself: Pumpkin Spice Latte

It's October which means ... pumpkin spice everything!

Some love it, some hate it. Either way, you can't deny it's strong presence during these holiday months. We decided to make our own version of the popular Pumpkin Spice Latte and you know what? It was pretty darn good.

What you need:

- 1/2 cup coffee or 2 shots of espresso
- 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
- Whipped cream
- 1 to 3 tablespoons of sugar
- 2 cups of milk (any kind works)
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice + more for serving
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Start by heating up your milk in a saucepan. Heat it low and slow to avoid burning your milk.
Add 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree.
Add 1 to 3 tablespoons of sugar - depending on how sweet you like it. We added 2 tablespoons and it was just right!
Add 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract to your mixture.
Add 1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice to the mix.
Head over to your espresso machine (if you have one) and make 2 shots of espresso.
Pour the 2 shots of espresso into the mixture.
Whisk everything together and turn off the heat.
Grab 2 mugs and divide the mixture evenly in the 2 cups. Top the drinks with a massive amount of whipped cream, sprinkle on the rest of the pumpkin spice mixture and drink up!
Add some whipped cream.
Now you get to enjoy your creation! This homemade pumpkin spice latte is better than anything you'd get at a coffee shop. We highly recommend that you and your friends give it a try.
