Volcom's New Gallery - Venue - Retail Space In Austin, TX Is Home To The 2017 Fader Fort

The Volcom Garden is Volcom’s newest venture in the world of music and art. Signing a long-term lease on the thriving East Side of Austin, TX, Volcom has doubled down on its commitment to creative liberation. The Volcom Garden, located at 1209 East 6th Street, will feature a full-time art gallery, curated by skate-art legend and Austin resident Michael Sieben, an indoor stage with backline and recording capabilities, a one-of-a-kind boutique and a skate-able feature in the expansive backyard. The Garden will serve as a creative hub for the local scene with an emphasis on both regional and global creativity and will facilitate regular art shows and music events.

The Volcom Garden this week will be turned over to our friends at Fader to house their world-renowned and influential Fader Fort during the 2017 SXSW Music Festival. “We’ve always been a fan of The Fader Fort’s approach to curating a diverse mix of music and creativity,” says Mike Aho, Volcom’s Global Creative Director, who is also an Austin resident. “We’re honored to have Fader as our first big event.” While entrance to the Fader Fort is invite-only, select performances will be streamed online at thefader.com.

“Volcom has a long history of supporting people who are passionate about what they do. The Volcom Garden is a long-term commitment to showcasing and supporting people’s creative energy, whatever that might be,” says Volcom EVP of Global Marketing, Ryan Immegart. The Volcom Garden takes its name from the brand’s iconic 1994 film The Garden.
