Get Caught Up In A Good Thing with Volcom's Introduction of Ocean Friendly Women's Swimwear

In the Spring of ’17, Volcom announced the introduction of our first-ever ocean friendly women’s swimwear composed of 78% Simply Solid Swim collection. We haven’t looked back since.

ECONYL® yarn is produced by recycling fishing nets and other discarded nylons. The recovered nets are regenerated and converted into fibers that can again be used, but now for a new life. There is no loss of quality in the regeneration process and the end result is a yarn that, on its own, is 100% recyclable..

ECONYL® is used in the Simply Solid Swim collection and more and is a key initiative in Volcom’s continuing effort to create products with deeper meaning and purpose that support our sustainability initiatives and our commitment to responsible manufacturing practices, better fiber sourcing, robust impact evaluation, and meaningful give backs.

“I know we are all accountable for our impact on the environment, but also our communities. To me, Volcom is a family and I love that I am now a part of it – it’s something special and I can’t wait to see what more is to come.”
