Volcom Men's Jeans Fit Guide And Size Charts
Maybe you've noticed that tagged waist sizes often vary between brands, and you may have a handful of pairs of jeans at home from different brands with waist sizes with up to as much as two sizes in variation (say size 30 to 32), but they all fit relatively the same in the waist. This is sometimes referred to as vanity sizing and is a common practice across all jeans makers.
At Volcom our sizing does not deviate from the "standard", meaning if you typically wear size 32 jeans, you're most likely going to wear a size 32 in Volcom jeans. But in any case, we've assembled the following fit guide for those just being introduced to Volcom jeans or those who are thinking of changing up their style.
Volcom jeans come in a variety of fits to accommodate varying style tastes and body types; browse our Skinny, Slim, Tapered, Modern and Regular fit guides below that include explanations about each fit and corresponding size chart that includes the most important measurements when determining fit online, as well as measurement instructions so you can compare with a pair of jeans you own at home.
For a streamlined look and tight fit, our men's skinny jeans in the 2x4 fit are the perfect option. With just the right amount of stretch, our slimmest jeans style features a low rise that sits just below the waist and has a 14" leg opening.
Our slim fit jeans include our Vorta and Vorta Form styles that are more relaxed than our skinny jeans. The slim stretch jeans still wear close to your body, but offer greater mobility for activity. With a straight leg and 15” leg opening, this slim cut jean with a regular rise can be worn through the day into the night.
Style: Solver Tapered
For those in search of jean with a smaller leg opening that’s slimmer through the leg, while providing more room in the thigh and top, our tapered jeans in the Solver Tapered fit are right for you. With a 14” leg opening, regular rise and graded inseam length, this modern tapered stretch jean provides a comfortable slimmer fit for those with a more athletic build.
Our most popular style jean with the Volcom Skate Team is our modern fit Solver jean available in variety of denim washes, twills and corduroy. A straight leg jean with a 16” leg opening and regular rise, these men’s stretch jeans go anywhere, perfect for those who swing a hammer, ride a desk or push a skate.
Our most relaxed fit jean is our regular fit Kinkade style with a straight leg and 17” leg opening, relaxed rise that sits at the waist, and graded inseam lengths. For those who prefer a greater freedom of movement with little or no stretch, our regular fit Kinkade jean is a more classic cut that provides that extra room.
Lay the jeans flat and buttoned up and pull the waistband straight across so it is tight, but not stretched. Then measure the waistband from end to end and multiply the number by 2. Then using the size charts above you can find the "tagged" waist size that corresponds with your measurement. In the case you are in between sizes, go with the size that is closer to your measurement.
With your jeans laying flat, measure from the bottom of the crotch to the leg opening.
To measure the knee, divide your inseam length by two and measure that amount down from the crotch to take your knee measurement, remembering to multiple your number by to 2.
Again with the jeans laying flat, measure across the bottom of the leg at the opening and multiply your number by 2.
In the event the pair of jeans you order do not fit correctly, Volcom has a hassle-free, easy 45-day free return policy. Feel free to leave a comment below if you have a question, especially if it's one you think would benefit others who might be wondering the same thing.
