Spending 2 weeks at Austria’s Kitzsteinhorn resort filming for Nitro Snowboard’s OFFLINE full length snowboard video was like something out of a dream. The expected weather conditions for the end of April and beginning of May session were far from what we had planned for. As we packed for sunny spring-like conditions, eastern Austria received the total opposite and then some.

With fresh snow accumulations, a near 4-5 feet during our stay, it kind of goes without saying that the trip was a “score” of a lifetime. Riding alpine gondola lap after lap in whiteout waist deep powder conditions day after day will leave you in a sense of euphoric disconnection from reality. The only things that you can see or make definition of, is what’s right in front of your face. These riding conditions fit perfectly into the theme and title of the film, OFFLINE. And when the sun did finally pop, Kitzstenhorn’s park shapers made sure the terrain park and side hits were ready for action.
